Both of us like to be at home more than anyone we know. But, we also like to travel and experience different people and climates and flora and fauna. Additionally, we need quiet almost all the time. Hotels are in loud congested areas, with high densities of people.
Only in a home setting can we really have the variety that travel provides, while retaining the quiet, coziness and privacy of home. Hotels are okay for a few days, but in order to be away from home over half of each year, only home sitting will do.
